[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] artemis emerson baylock , thirty-four , alchemist , reserved , organized artemis baylock is a very private human being and has been known to be a bit snappy at times. part of him his bitter while there is still some of him that is completely curious about the world that we live in. he has lived out his entire life in london and used to be a rather well known and recognized alchemist before he was involved in an accident causing him to lose the use of both of his legs. now he is not much talked about and it may as well just be because of how antisocial that he has become. he usually doesn't treat company very kindly but if you're an equally curious creature or don't point out his disability constantly then he can become a friend. or if he has happened to know you for a long time. his sarcasm (and sometimes honest opinions) can get him a few enemies. as with loves, he's never much had one and now he really is not looking at all. he'd rather not try it. but hey, if you have ideas and want to plot with artemis, please do! thank you, face!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] sebastian gray hensworth , twenty-six , butler , good humored , easygoing this young man has been known to ease himself out of the strangest situations without breaking a sweat. sebastian is always calm, collected, and can keep up the smiles when necessary. he often indulges in innocent or joking sarcasm. his confidence is always at its peak at whatever he is doing and he feels no need to have it any other way (he's a bit fearless, you see). it is not difficult to hide what he thinks is clever with a bit of acting though, just in case someone doesn't agree with him. but if there is one thing that sebastian does not like it is being wrong or someone trying desperately to prove him wrong. this will usually cause him to continue trying to convince you that he is actually right (even if he is not). he is very loyal to those who are close to them and would never throw them under the bus, so to speak. sebastian started his life near the bottom of the social ladder and has very carefully worked his way up it. friends, enemies, and lovers from the past and too the present (or future) are welcome to plot with mr. hensworth! thank you, face!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] callum augustus ashdown , twenty-one , sky pirate , runaway , anxious , energetic once upon a time, augustus alexander whitlock was the son of an impressively wealthy and political family. and then he disappeared when he was thirteen. so now you are introduced to callum ashdown, better known to his crew mates simply as cal. cal is not what he seems to be but living the life of a sky pirate for eight years has almost made him forget where he came from! usually he's a terrible secret keeper since his mouth doesn't have a very good filter. he has never shared his secret with anyone and is strictly known only as a pirate on the dawn rose along with katarina pellan. so it is more likely that he will have friends who are in the same trade that he is in. enemies will possibly be popular even if they don't really directly know him. he's not exactly a mean person but he can get caught up in the moment and has a tendency to freak out every now and then. with love he'd be awkward. he's usually seen as more of a little brother than anything to those he knows so if anyone thought differently he'd surely be caught off guard. not that he has not been known to try and flirt (not successfully). thank you, face!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] isaiah asriel casson , twenty-seven , renegade , neurotic , loner , cold , demon isaiah is almost like two separate beings. at the age of seventeen his body was possessed by a demon and he has come to consider it another part of himself. a part of himself that he will often listen to unless rationality does managed to take over beforehand. usually he comes off as very aloof and very disinterested in other people. he keeps to himself and will hardly speak a word even when spoken to. he grew up believing that he was in a constant debt but now he hardly sees it that way since he is still filled with rage over what was wrongly done to him. since he grew up in switzerland (and very friendless) i do not expect any childhood friends. he has traveled much of the world though so he can meet people that way. enemies and friends would make no difference to him since he usually sees them one in the same. he has a hard time trusting anyone and often suspects that others are out to get him or watching him. as for love he is very stung from his one and only love to ever have had. so do not expect him to get too many cute little crushes or ever say i love you to anyone. but i'm not stopping anyone from trying. thank you, face!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] isaac alan hawkins , nineteen , gunsmith , artistic , protective , loyal , shifter isaac was born somewhere along a trail in the uncharted lands of america. he grew up with knowing very little of his family since his mother died of sickness when he was a child and his father was a professional fur trapper, always gone and on the hunt. isaac was left in the care of some less than compromising people and eventually found himself in the trade of firearms to support his sister and himself. he is the type of person who can catch onto many things quickly as long as they keep his interest. he enjoys the arts and has a strange affinity to music and tinkering with gears, basically anything to keep him busy and thinking. he usually won't bother with too many people unless he has a set goal but can generally come off as polite and will frown away the insults. growing up in the dangerous west of the united states he is hardly a stranger to trouble though and will defend himself without a second thought. for friends he may not have many in london as he is literally just getting settled here with his sister and brother. so he is in much need of everything. thank you, face!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=width,500,true] avalynn faye blackmore , two-hundred , aristocrat , wise , ruthless , vampire meet lady avalynn blackmore. she is a woman who tries to keep it so little is known about her history but has made sure to keep her reputation notorious. despite the sweet charm she can put up, avalynn is hardly an angel. years of life and marrying into the right families have brought her plenty of wealth as well as the fortune of wisdom (though she feigns that she has none). she likes to use people as puppets to hide herself away and has been known to meander in criminal operations for her own gains. she is an opportunist through and through. if she sees no need for you then she will get rid of you. if saving your life has some gain in it for her then she will do it. her lifestyle has made her many enemies but she is also capable of loyal companions (so long as their interests are similar). thank you, face!

Long-time friends? I can see the two of them starting out as academia acquaintances-bordering-on-friends, then becoming (good?) friends after Artemis's accident, since Helen has a tendency to spend more time with academics who are 'less known' instead of the 'more famous' ones. Both of them are also independent individuals, so one won't be a bother to another in terms of personal space&privacy&etc.

Sebastian && Helen
She'd find his "joking sarcasm" quite amusing. If he shows his confidence around her, she'd most likely comment about looking at a moving mirror. Is there a particular family/household he's butler for? Helen's family could be friends/connected to that family, so she could be seeing him from time to time.

Callum && Helen
Perhaps the Dawn Rose recently attacked one of the ships Helen was on for her research? She wouldn't be happy with him, especially if her work's been destroyed in the attack.

i don't have him placed with anyone in particular at the moment but perhaps in the future will seek someone out to play them. in any case, i do believe that that would be the best opportunity for the two of them to meet up with one another. i do think that sebastian would be interested in her (maybe having some knowledge on her family thanks to the public and rumors and all that good stuff).

well that could surely prove interesting, haha! callum isn't much of a scholar so he'd probably not even have any interest with what she had to begin with. it would have been more just because the captain said and he enjoys the thrill. whether he destroys anything or not (which i think he just could have since he'd a bit reckless) i don't think they'd be on good terms with one another xD

This isn't really much of an idea. I'm just sort of thinking as I type! But maybe on the occasions when Taran isn't working, he could come keep Artemis company (as a cat, of course). I'm not sure how the interaction would go, but it seems to me like Mr. Baylock needs a companion, at least part of the time, that isn't one to nag or ask question or get in the way (while looking adorable). Taran could eventually reveal his true nature, but at first just act like a stray that likes to visit. What do you think?

well sebastian is having a no strings attached sort of affair with an air pirate and he also knows callum who you have seemed to show some interest in there. and so i do believe it would be possible for them to know one another since he is sort of hanging out secretly with pirates. and, i can't remember, if her family is/was wealthy then perhaps they know the one that he works for? it could be something like that, i imagine. callum wouldn't flaunt around the fact that he was a pirate in front of those who were not fond of pirates... he also would only admit to it if he were on the winning side or obviously part of a pirate crew. so if they did not ever run into one another anywhere then perhaps they could know one another and possibly drive the other crazy. he is, like serafina, quite energetic and spun out constantly and he also enjoys fine things. so i could see them getting along, ironically. but once he does come to know who she is (or perhaps already does) he will be more timid around her. he's not big on the whole possibility of getting his neck snapped under a bridge and all...

well artemis is a very logical fellow and i think he could logically assume that demons are bad stuff. buuut he's bitter about life so he wouldn't give two shits about interacting with the supernatural if given the opportunity. though i'm not entirely sure of how they could come about meeting one another. he doesn't get out much =P

well, since artemis is an alchemist and katarina used to work in an apothecary for her father, i feel they might have some similar topics to discuss. she'll probably go to him to stock up on supplies that can help and help make the crew better when she takes to the sky. not sure what else they could have interest in, but surely there must be something?

hmm.... this one might be tricky. since they both travel often i'm sure that they've run into each other at least once, maybe twice. she probably won't like him and feel on edge being around him, but if he travels often there might be valuable information he has that she can use. question is what would he want in return? it might be like a business relationship maybe. but yeah, i don't know.

hm. we could figure out some interesting things with this, i think. perhaps artemis knows/knew her father and he's sort of doing him a favor by helping her when she asks for it. artemis worked on an airship for a time as well though so they could have met while he was doing that as well.
